A lifetime of painting the landscapes, communities, and changing light of California.
Paul Fortis grew up in the hills of the San Francisco Bay Area and began painting the surrounding landscape at a young age.
He graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a degree in printmaking and has spent his life capturing the natural beauty of his surroundings. Working in both the studio and directly from the landscape, Paul is especially drawn to the coast, gardens, open spaces, and towns of Northern California.
Paul has been immersed in the art world for decades, and his work has appeared in galleries and exhibitions throughout California.
